The 2025 JUNO Award nominations have been announced, and we are thrilled to celebrate three outstanding projects featuring Latitude 45 artists! These nominations recognize the innovation, artistry, and dedication of our musicians across classical and jazz genres.

šŸŽ» East is East ā€“ Infusion Baroque (Classical Album of the Year: Small Ensemble)

Infusion Baroqueā€™s East is East (Leaf Music) takes listeners on a journey through the intersection of Eastern and Western musical traditions. The album takes listeners on a journey of sounds with Eastern influences, combining repertoires of striking richness and diversity. This project has been magnificently enriched by the compositions of Amir Amiri as well as the collaboration of their guests artists, including some of the Latitude 45 family: Amir Amiri, Hamin Honari, Shawn Mativetski, Vidita Kanniks and Hank Knox. Their nomination in the Classical Small Ensemble category is a testament to their artistic excellence and adventurous programming.

šŸŽ¼ Alikeness ā€“ Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra feat. Mark Fewer (Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble)

Under the baton of conductor and violinist Mark Fewer, Alikeness (Leaf Music) brings together the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra for a captivating exploration of contemporary orchestral music. Fewerā€™s dual role as conductor and soloist makes this album a standout, showcasing his deep artistry and the ensembleā€™s exceptional cohesion.
