About Light the Night
Light the Night raconte l'histoire d'Alma, épouse du compositeur Gustav Mahler, et de son implication en coulisses qui a permis à son mari de créer ses chef-d'oeuvres.
Alma Schindler rêve de grandeur. Elle vénère son père, peintre paysagiste envoûtant, qui inculque à Alma un sentiment de fascination et de curiosité. Jeune femme, elle se destine à une carrière en composition, tissant cette magie dans sa musique. Mais ses rêves s'envolent lorsque son futur mari lui interdit de composer, la reléguant à une vie de domesticité.
Light the Night tells the story of Alma, wife of composer Gustav Mahler, and her contributions behind the scenes that enabled her husband to create his masterpieces.
Alma Schindler dreamed of greatness. She revered her father, an enchanting landscape artist, who instilled a sense of awe and curiosity in Alma. As a young woman, she pursued a career in composition, weaving the magic of her childhood into her music. But when her future husband forbade her from composing, her dreams were dashed, and she was relegated to a life of domesticity.
